Not one, but two!

This is the quilt I got today at my neighbor’s garage sale for $3. Seems they had a lot of things for $3 . . .

When I came home and opened the bag, I found that there was not just ONE quilt, but TWO! They are BOTH handmade, have lovely stitching and the prettiest prints!

There are a few small stains but I think with some care they will come out pretty as can be!

Get to know your neighbors! Not only will you make a new friend, or two, you just may find some treasures when they have a garage sale!

  1. What a pleasant surprise and a GREAT deal. Yard sales are the best finding wonderful things. Your quilts are lovely! My sister just bought a house, so I'm sure she'll be meeting new neighbors through some yard sales.

Thank you dear Kathi, for leaving a sweet comment You are very kind!

    Enjoy your day-

  2. Oh. my. gosh! TWO handmade quilts for $3?! That's a huge score! So many things you could do with them...use them as quilts (of course), table cloth, make pillows out of them...what a great deal, I'm so jealous! ;)

  5. Hi Kathi,
How awesome that you are following my new Adventures in Decorating. I started my "family" blog back in January and just love blogging!! I thought it would be a good idea to start a new blog just for sharing projects and such.
It looks like we are not far from each other! I am right outside of Tuscaloosa, AL. I look forward to reading your blog!!
    Blessings,
    Tina
