This is the quilt I got today at my neighbor’s garage sale for $3. Seems they had a lot of things for $3 . . .
When I came home and opened the bag, I found that there was not just ONE quilt, but TWO! They are BOTH handmade, have lovely stitching and the prettiest prints!
There are a few small stains but I think with some care they will come out pretty as can be!
Get to know your neighbors! Not only will you make a new friend, or two, you just may find some treasures when they have a garage sale!
What a pleasant surprise and a GREAT deal. Yard sales are the best finding wonderful things. Your quilts are lovely! My sister just bought a house, so I'm sure she'll be meeting new neighbors through some yard sales.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear Kathi, for leaving a sweet comment You are very kind!
Enjoy your day-
Oh. my. gosh! TWO handmade quilts for $3?! That's a huge score! So many things you could do with them...use them as quilts (of course), table cloth, make pillows out of them...what a great deal, I'm so jealous! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi, Kathi, thanks for playing along! I love your quilts and sewing machine. I found a sewing machine last fall & am so glad I did. Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great find! Love your little sewing machine too. Sounds like you're the Queen of Three Bucks!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathi,
ReplyDeleteHow awesome that you are following my new Adventures in Decorating. I started my "family" blog back in January and just love blogging!! I thought it would be a good idea to start a new blog just for sharing projects and such.
It looks like we are not far from each other! I am right outside of Tuscaloosa, AL. I look forward to reading your blog!!
Blessings,
Tina
PS LOVE the quilts! What a great find!
$3.00 for two quilts. Wonderful find. Quilts always think of my grandmother. Very pretty colors.
ReplyDeleteWow! I can't believe someone would sell handmade quilts for $3. And pretty ones too!
ReplyDeleteNow - that is a blessing! Wow! You were one lucky girl! Can't wait to see what you do with them!
