Sunday, February 1

I'm feeling a little like these two ducks this morning. I want to hide my head while I wait for my migraine medicine to work. It's a beautiful day here. I'm noticing the dust that is floating around the room in the sunlight and I feel at peace. There are big changes ahead for me. Another move. More stress? Another headache?

My life has been a series of changes. God has been with me every step. I know no matter where I go He will be there with me and down the road before me. When I feel overwhelmed and unable to move He always leads me. He carries me when I can't walk.

He comforts me when I feel alone. I can't even imagine how others who do not know Him go on. . .

I found this photo on Flicker by kittykat7. It's a photo of one of the canals on the Winter Park Florida boat tour. I've been on this tour several times. The canal is barely wide enough for a boat to pass through. Sometimes there are bumps along the way. The scenery is so quiet and lush, then the canal opens up to a beautiful sparkling lake with million dollar homes along the shore. Today I feel like God is leading me like this.

It is a good thing to trust in the Lord and lean not unto your own understanding. He will keep you in perfect peace if you keep your mind on Him. I'm so glad that He loves me this morning. How about you?

Inspiration!

http://www.piece-by-piece.net/Crochet/simple_crocheted_scarf.htm

Isn't this a beautiful photo?! Frost on spider webs! Amazing! It was posted today on Yahoo and I want to thank them for the inspiration!
My grandmother did tatting and crochet. She tried to teach me. I guess I didn't pay attention because I have never pursued this wonderful skill. I have many beautiful things that she made though. My favorite is a white crocheted bedspread. It is absolutely gorgeous and must have taken her months to finish! She also did laced edging on handkerchiefs. A day before Kleenex when ladies always had a crisp hanky in their pocket or purse.
I think I'm inspired this morning to try to crochet a scarf. Can't be all that hard, can it? I'm always trying to find projects that I can use and not just look at. I'll have to pull out my little book on stitching for left handers. Grandma tried to teach me by having me sit on the floor and watch her do things upside down. Maybe it will come back to me? I hope so.
